AFAQ launches a CD-ROM
for ISO 9001 : 2000 self-evaluation
Simple, user-friendly and high-performance, the self-evaluation CD-ROM produced by AFAQ has been designed as a fully-fledged comprehension tool for the ISO 9001 version 2000 standard.
Steeped in almost 15 years experience of management systems certification, AFAQ aims to provide internal and external auditors, quality managers, trainers and companies of every size and sector, with application software that answers their needs.
Designed for the awareness and training of users, the CD-ROM is an instructive and practical approach to the standard.
The self-assessment CD-ROM is made up of 4 modules:

Self-evaluation
This module is divided into 7 sub-sections of AFAQ requirements which enable users to check their knowledge of the ISO 9001 : 2000 standard.
For each requirement, there are extracts from the 94 version, examples of tools to put in place, means of verification, indicators and examples of variations encountered by AFAQ experts in the field.
The CD-ROM can also serve as an in-house training resource (for a presentation of the standard, for example), for either a small company or a major Group.
Knowledge Test
This test, made up of 50 multiple choice questions, requires a good knowledge of the standard. It is a way for the user (i.e. an auditor) to assess and improve understanding and familiarity with the standard.
Each question is related to the text and content of the ISO 9001 : 2000 standard. At the end of the multiple choice, a score depending on the number of right answers is issued to the user together with corrections for each question.
Practical Cases
This module is an interpretation exercise for the standard comparable to actual situations encountered by AFAQ auditors during their company audits. Its principle: for the 40 situations proposed, one must give an opinion on the acceptability or non-acceptability of the situation, always according to the 2000 version, and identify the corresponding article of the standard. In each answer, the question asked appears and the corresponding text of the standard is featured to illustrate the point. The exact paragraph of the standard is also mentioned.
