The AFAQ Group acquires EAQA
The AFAQ Group, one of the leading international certification body, has acquired the EAQA (Electricity Association Quality Assurance) Company. The latter is one of the foremost international certification body companies in the Power Sector and distribution industry.
The acquisition of EAQA, named EAQA, Ltd, is consistent with the international development policy pursued by the AFAQ Group.
Located in London, EAQA, Ltd will continue to trade as a subsidiary and bring its expertise into the group.
EAQA, Ltd is involved in certification of quality (ISO 9000 , QS-9000, AS 9000, TickIT) and environmental (ISO 14000) management systems. Accredited by UKAS (GB) and RAB (USA), EAQA Ltd has issued more than 1,700 certificates among which half outside of United Kingdom, especially in Asia (China, Korea, India, Iran, Taiwan), in the USA and in South Africa…
EAQA, Ltd's custumers include major accounts such as British Energy, Powergen International, the Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, Scottish Energy, Transmission Division of Tehran Regional Electric Co, the Electricity Generation Authority of Thailand,... and the Company is highly respected throughout the industry.
